Laguna Beach : Committee to Consider Removing Field Lights

The recreation committee of the Laguna Beach City Council will hold a public hearing tonight to consider removing lights from two baseball fields because of strong resident opposition.
The hearing will be at the El Morro School Auditorium, 8681 Coast Highway, beginning at 7:30 p.m. At issue is the illumination of the baseball diamonds at Riddle Field and Laguna Beach High School, a project that was completed just last July.
Many nearby residents have complained that the new lights flood the neighborhood with illumination and should be removed.
