Douglas J. Russo, 44, has joined General Automation as vice president for marketing. He succeeds Rene Caron, who was recently promoted to vice president and general manager of the GA Systems Group.
Russo came from Conographic Corp. in Irvine, where he was vice president of marketing and sales. During his 20 years in the information-processing industry, he has been director of software systems and new business development at Microdata Corp., and vice president of marketing and sales at EECO Computer. Russo has also held managerial positions at Sperry Univac, NCR and Media Systems Technology.
General Automation is an Anaheim-based computer company.
