Weyerhaeuser’s income jumped 103% to $126 million for the third quarter. The Tacoma, Wash., company said last year’s results were affected by a strike in its Western woods and wood products operations. Revenue rose 28.5% to $1.8 billion. Continued strength in world pulp, paperboard and newsprint markets and high output from operations were major factors in the improved financial results, the company said.
