Another Aftershock, a 3.0, Rattles L.A.

An aftershock measuring 3.0 on the Richter scale, the 28th of at least that magnitude since the 6.1 earthquake Oct. 1, struck the Los Angeles area Sunday afternoon, said a spokesman for Caltech in Pasadena.
The aftershock was recorded at 3:34 p.m. and was centered in what has been dubbed the “aftershock zone,” an area six miles south-southeast of Pasadena, said Caltech spokesman Robert Finn. A “couple of hundred” aftershocks of magnitude 3.0 or less have rumbled through the area, he said.
