Increase in Student Enrollment Expected

Total enrollment in the Beverly Hills Unified School District is expected to top 5,000 students over the next five years, according to new projections by the district.
Assistant Supt. Walther Puffer said the increase in enrollment is now being felt in kindergarten.
The district’s enrollment dropped by 38 students this year to a low of 4,835, which school officials attributed to the loss of 101 students in high school, where enrollment dipped to 2,294. That loss, however, was partially made up by an increase of 63 students in the district’s four elementary schools.
