Body Found on Freeway Is Newhall Man, 25

The body of a man discovered last week by motorists on the Antelope Valley Freeway has been identified as William D. Crane of Newhall, a coroner’s investigator said.
Crane, 25, was found Tuesday near Remsen Street in Newhall, lying face down and wearing only cut-off jeans. He apparently was beaten with a blunt object, but autopsy results are pending, the investigator said.
