The body of an unidentified man was found Saturday in Castaic Lake, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and the county coroner’s office are investigating the death, Sheriff’s Sgt. Charles Lane said. There were no signs of foul play, and the man appeared to have drowned, he said.
Charles Graham, who manages the lake for the county Parks and Recreation Department, discovered the partly decomposed body floating face down about 8 a.m., Lane said.
The dead man, a Latino estimated to be in his 20s, was clad only in blue jeans, deputies said.
In mid-July, the Sheriff’s Department received a report of a man who fell off a motorboat and was presumed drowned. That man has not been found, and the body discovered Saturday matches the description, Deputy Hal Grant said.
“There’s a strong possibility that this may in fact be that body,” he said.
