Bellflower OKs Free Ridership on Buses for Blind
- Share via
BELLFLOWER — The City Council has approved a recommendation from the Bellflower Public Transit Advisory Committee to provide free access for legally blind individuals to The Bus--the city’s fixed-route transportation system.
Prior to this action, blind individuals paid the same 25-cent fare as others to use the four-route system which became operational on Nov. 4, 1985. Blind people with a guide dog, white cane or other identification indicating that they are legally blind will no longer be required to pay any fee. Further information may be obtained by calling (213) 804-1424.
