‘TUNNEL’ VISION

Hilburn spent an entire page writing about the words of Bruce Springsteen’s new album and failed to write more than one sentence about the music.

Hilburn should review Springsteen as a musician who writes lyrics instead of making him sound only like a poet. It looks like after getting the new album he threw away the record and reviewed the lyric sheet.

Well, maybe Hilburn is admitting something that I’ve known for years: There is no need to review Springsteen’s music because it’s all the same. The only thing that changes are the words.
