Man Facing Felony Child Abuse Charge

Police on Thursday arrested a Fountain Valley man on suspicion of felony child abuse.
Brian A. Hildbrand, 21, was arrested after a 16-month-old boy that was in his care Wednesday night suffered several injuries, Police Lt. Rod Gillman said.
The child’s mother reported the injuries, which included a broken collar bone and significant bruising, to police Thursday morning, Gillman said. After being questioned, the suspect was arrested and booked into Orange County Jail on $10,000 bail.
Gillman said the child will remain in protective custody while the investigation continues.
