In separate deals, the Kings added centers Tim Tookey and Paul Fenton.
They acquired Tookey from the Philadelphia Flyers in the National Hockey League waiver draft. Tookey, 27, has spent parts of five seasons with four NHL teams and, last season, when he had 124 points for Hershey, he was the leading scorer and Most Valuable Player of the American Hockey League.
After the draft, the Kings claimed Fenton on waivers from the New York Rangers. Fenton, 27, has spent most of the last two seasons in the minors.
