The second phase of the $60-million Long Beach/Signal Hill Business Center, a $10-million, six-story office building, is targeted for completion Nov. 30, with move-ins set for January.
The 26-acre business center is at 2602 Redondo Avenue, Long Beach, site of the former Long Beach General Hospital. A second mirror-image office building will also be built as a part of Phase 2.
The project is being developed by Goldrich & Kest Industries, Culver City, and Sheldon Appel Co., Santa Monica, in an agreement with Los Angeles County.
Construction of the project is an outgrowth of the county’s asset management program, which generates income by leasing surplus land.
