Bork’s Supreme Court Nomination
It is the Democrats who are busy applying a political litmus test to Bork. They cannot reject him on his record, character or integrity. He is a meticulous legal scholar and jurist, with a balanced and spotless record. He has the utmost respect for the standing body of law. Therefore, he will neither overturn settled law, nor create new law with very little basis, as some of the more liberal justices have done. He is simply not a judicial activist. So his opponents have nothing but their own ideological prejudice with which to oppose his nomination. It would be utterly unconscionable to reject him on such ground.
