Daniel A. Curry has been named vice president and general counsel of Times Mirror, the Los Angeles media company that publishes The Times and other newspapers. He succeeds John E. Flick, who retired April 1. Curry previously served as senior vice president and general counsel of Amfac in San Francisco. Dennis A. Daugherty, 40, formerly vice president and deputy general counsel, succeeds Curry at Amfac.
