Senators Yield on Tax Reform

WASHINGTON — Senate tax reform negotiators reluctantly agreed today to make about $30 billion worth of changes in their bill, including some business tax increases, and said it is up to the House to take the next step toward a compromise.
The Senate members of the conference committee that is trying to write a final tax reform bill accepted the $30-billion package in a late-morning caucus and indicated that they would make no further alterations until the House delegation showed some movement.
