One man was killed and another seriously injured Tuesday when the car in which they were traveling drifted off the Antelope Valley Freeway north of Acton, bounded down an embankment and crashed into a boulder, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The driver, Salvador Flores, 27, of Los Angeles, was taken to Palmdale General Hospital, where he died at 6:42 p.m., about three hours after the accident, Sgt. Walt Rogers said.
Flores’ passenger, William Geranamo, 20, also of Los Angeles, was taken to Palmdale General Hospital, where a nursing supervisor said he was in guarded but stable condition Wednesday in the intensive care ward.
