Baldwin Park : Funds for Housing Sought

The City Council has voted to seek $627,790 in federal aid to help build a $2.6 million low-income senior housing project. The grant from the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development would augment a grant and “initial commitment” from the state Housing Financing Agency totaling $1.31 million, said Tad Mimura, administrative assistant with the city Department of Housing and Economic Development.
