West Covina : Construction Halt Extended
The City Council voted this week to extend by four months the yearlong moratorium on construction along parts of the San Bernardino Freeway.
Paul Curtis, city planning director, said the moratorium originally was adopted to allow the city to study development along the freeway corridor. He said the extension is needed to complete the study.
Workshops on three proposed alternatives for residents will begin this weekend and public hearings are tentatively scheduled for September. The moratorium, including the extension, will end Nov. 30.
