The Cleveland Browns will waive their rights to 10th-round draft choice Willie Smith, a team spokesman said.
Smith, an All-American tight end from the University of Miami, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine and carrying a concealed weapon June 30 during a disturbance in a South Florida motel parking lot.
