Newberry and Rams Reach Agreement

The Rams announced Friday they have reached agreement with their second-round draft choice, 6-foot 2-inch, 279-pound guard Tom Newberry of the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Newberry will be on the field Monday when the Rams officially open training camp at Cal State Fullerton.
Newberry was selected a first-team NAIA All-American in 1984 and 1984. He also was the NCAA Division III shot put and discus champion in 1984 and 1985.
