Granada Hills’ Gray Impressive in Slam ‘N Jam Tournament

It was evident that Gary Gray of Granada Hills High played a good game Thursday night in the Puma National Slam ‘N Jam Tournament at Pauley Pavilion.
What the scoresheet read proclaimed it. What the scouts said agreed.
Gray scored 27 points to lead the Ventura All-Stars of the American Roundball Corp. to a 75-70 win over Seattle.
What the college scouts say, the players--mostly high school seniors and juniors--consider important for obvious reasons.
“He did a good job taking the ball to the hole and getting fouled,” Said Greg Graham, an assistant coach at San Jose State. “He is such a physical specimen, and he plays smart. As long as he plays smart, he’ll score inside all the time.”
