Body of Canoga Park Woman, 60, Identified

A Canoga Park woman found dead in her apartment Tuesday has been identified as 60-year-old Helen Barry, Los Angeles police said.
Police suspect that Barry was slain but are awaiting the results of an autopsy scheduled for today, Detective Duane Burris said.
Police Lt. William Gaida said the woman’s body showed signs of injury, but he declined to elaborate or comment on other aspects of the investigation.
Neighbors found the woman’s body in her apartment after they became concerned at not seeing her, Gaida said.
