‘PURPLE’ PROTESTS

“The Color Purple” is about rape, incest, lesbianism, child molestation and wife-beating. And the ads for this movie have the gall to say, “It’s about life. It’s about love. It’s about us.”
Well, these sort of things may take place in Steven Spielberg’s family, but they sure as hell don’t happen in mine. Where does Spielberg get off saying, “It’s about us”?!
Spielberg, if this is about you and your friends, I think you and your family belong behind bars.
