The San Francisco 49ers placed Eric Wright on the injured reserved list and signed cornerback Tim Collier to play in this weekend’s wild-card game against the New York Giants.
Wright, sidelined last Sunday by a groin muscle pull, could be back if the world champion 49ers make it to the Super Bowl.
