Cardinal Attends Mass in Iran

NICOSIA, Cyprus — A papal envoy, Cardinal Roger Etchegaray, attended Christmas Mass in Tehran today for Christian Iraqi prisoners of war, the official Iranian news agency said.
Islamic Republic News Agency, monitored here, did not say why the Mass was conducted one day after much of the Christian world celebrated Christmas.
