Sanctuary Vote Delayed

SEATTLE — A City Council vote on a move to declare Seattle a sanctuary for Salvadoran and Guatemalan refugees has been postponed until Jan. 6. The delay was requested by Council President Norm Rice, who was unable to get the required five votes for passage with some of the nine council members absent for the holidays.
