Scalper Arrests

Concerning the arrest of a man for ticket scalping prior to a Raider game (The Times, Dec. 17) I have this to say: Typical waste of police manpower. Why bother with someone trying to sell extra tickets at face value while cars are being broken into and people are being mugged nearby?
Considering that ticket agencies exact blackmail on football fans by buying large blocks of choice seats and then selling them for large profits, why mess with others doing either the same thing or just trying to get money back for unused tickets?
Excuse me, Los Angeles Police Department, but your forces combined with the yellow jacketed “Event Staff” are more of a threat to us Raider fans than scalpers and muggers.
