“Heat.” Warner. William Goldman’s chilling, graphic chronicle of Las Vegas life as seen through the eyes of a cynical expert in edged weapons is a great listen. Superbly read by Bruce Dern and tautly produced by David Rapkin, the cassette’s only flaw is its brevity. This two-tape, two-hour abridgement is only a fraction of the book--like a trailer for a movie. 1/2
