Embassy Suites Hotel to Start

Construction is expected to begin in January on a 12-story, nearly 300,000-square-foot Embassy Suites hotel in San Diego. Completion is scheduled for March, 1987.
The 5.23-acre parcel, on the northwest corner of Towne Centre and La Jolla Village drives, was purchased by Embassy Suites for $7 million, according to Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services, which represented the buyer. The seller, La Jolla Community Associates Inc., was represented by its general partner, James Uhlmann of Los Angeles and San Diego attorney John D. Thelan.
