Riche Swinton, a senior tailback who led Montclair Prep High to the finals of the Inland Conference playoffs, has been named Player of the Year in the conference by the All-Southern California Board of Athletics, a group made up of Los Angeles area sportswriters. In the Sunset League, the honor was shared by wide receiver Monty Galbreath of Taft and defensive backs Junior Delgado of Canoga Park and Barry Thomas of Monroe.
