Western Airlines shareholders approved a company proposal to increase the amount of authorized common stock to 150 million shares from 70 million . . . Chatsworth-based Tandon said it granted licenses for an undisclosed sum to two Japanese companies, Canon and Fujitsu’s Copal affiliate, to make disk drives for personal computers using a Tandon patent . . . Alcoa Securities Corp., a wholly owned Alcoa subsidiary, said it completed the sale of its Cedars Rapids Transmission Co. subsidiary to Hydro-Quebec of Montreal, Canada, for about $67.5 million.
