PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. — Margaret (Peggy) Goldwater, wife of Arizona’s senior senator, was remembered at her funeral Sunday as a woman devoted to family and friends.
More than 550 mourners, including a congressional delegation, Gov. Bruce Babbitt and friends who had helped Sen. Barry Goldwater run for President in 1964, attended the service at the Christ Church of the Ascension. Mrs. Goldwater, 76, died Wednesday after circulation problems forced the amputation of a leg.
