RANCHO BERNARDO — A 63-year-old man was killed Saturday when his car collided head-on with another car, a deputy county coroner said.
Howard Martin Gottlieb of Escondido was headed south on West Bernardo Drive when he apparently swerved into the path of oncoming traffic, authorities said. Gottlieb’s car collided with a car driven by Clifford Fulton, a resident of Massachusetts.
Gottlieb was pronounced dead at the scene. Fulton was transported by ambulance to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in fair condition.
