HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER : North Hollywood Shuts Out Venice Behind Duarte, 3-0

Reza Tamaey scored two goals in the first half and Danny Spector added another in the second Thursday as North Hollywood beat Venice in boys soccer, 3-0.
Goalkeeper Sal Duarte posted his fourth shutout in six games for the Huskies. North Hollywood (8-3-3) finished third in the Western League and will play in the City playoffs, which begin next week. Venice ended league play with a 5-6-3 record.
Granada Hills clinched at least a share of the West Valley League title by beating Canoga Park, 3-1, Thursday at Canoga Park.
Should Chatsworth (8-1-2) beat Taft (0-10-1) today, it will share the title with Granada Hills.
Derryl Halpern, John Markoe and Todd Culley each scored a goal for the Highlanders. Granada Hills (10-2) will play in the City playoffs next week. Canoga Park ended its season at 2-9-1.
