Child Pornography Seized -- 7 Indicted on Mail Charges

Six Los Angeles area men and a citizen of Thailand were indicted by a federal grand jury here Wednesday on charges of either sending or receiving child pornography through the U.S. mail in violation of the Child Protection Act.
Assistant U.S. Atty. Joyce A. Karlin said the charges were part of the continuing efforts by the recently formed Task Force on Child Pornography, which includes representatives of several federal agencies and the Los Angeles Police Department.
Charged with two counts of violating the act were H. Keith Simpson, 57, of Santa Monica, Raven Slaughter,. 32 of Van Nuys, Timothy Dougherty, 35, of Long Beach and David Kenneth Myers, 55, of Tujunga.
Donald Stephenson, 41, of Pomona, Bert Maxwell Clayton, 56, of Glendale and Nanit Thamaree, 50, Thailand were charged with on count of violating the Child Protection Act.
