Los Alamitos : Supt. McCully to Resign at End of School Year

The Los Alamitos Unified School District superintendent will resign at the end of the school year.
Charles McCully, 47, said he is leaving the $68,000-a-year post to pursue “other options within education, as well as the private sector.”
McCully has held the job since 1979 when the district, which includes four elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school and a continuing education school, was created.
McCully was superintendent of the Albany Unified School District in the San Francisco Bay Area before being named to his present post. The board will act on the resignation Monday.
