The Master’s Rally Falls Short, 62-60

Julie Gleason missed a last-gasp shot at the buzzer from midcourt Tuesday night as The Master’s College women’s basketball team fell to visiting Biola, 62-60.
The Master’s, which fell to 0-2 in NAIA District III play and 1-6 overall, had rallied from a 62-53 deficit with 2:26 left. It was the District III opener for Biola, which lifted its overall record to 2-2.
Shelmarie Tatum had 15 of her 16 rebounds in the second half for The Master’s, Michelle Carter scored 16 points and Julie Gleason had 13. Kim DeKraker and Tatum each scored 12. Becky Miller had 21 to lead Biola and Nancy O’Sullivan had 20.
