Contra Costa County Superior Court Judge Coleman F. Fannin has been named trial judge of the year by the 54,000-member California Trial Lawyers’ Assn. Attorneys seek out Fannin to resolve disputes because of his reputation for “cutting through to the heart of the problem,” said Peter Hinton, association president. Fannin earned his law degree at the San Francisco School of Law in 1959.
