Ex-Student in Fatal Fall Had Been Troubled

A young man who apparently leaped to his death Monday from a California State University, Northridge, building has been identified by university police as Adam Korach, 22.
Korach, a former CSUN student, was staying at the Center for Living and Learning in San Fernando. He had been at the psychiatric-care residence center since October and was described by officials there as being withdrawn and depressed, university police Lt. Michael Sugar said Tuesday.
Korach was diagnosed as being schizophrenic and having a drug problem, Los Angeles police Detective Damon Loomis said.
