Sam Van Landingham, vice president of the Irvine Company’s Commercial Office Division, is leaving the firm to accept a position as executive vice president and chief operating officer of an Atlanta-based development company.
Van Landingham, 44, will join Portman Properties Feb. 1 after eight years at the Irvine Co. Portman manages and has ownership interest in more than 22 million square feet of commercial and retail properties it has developed, including projects such as San Francisco’s Embarcadero Center and Atlanta’s Peachtree Center.
William McFarland, the Irvine Co.’s executive vice president for operations, will replace Van Landingham until a successor is found.
Van Landingham served as vice president of marketing and development for the Cushman Corporation in Atlanta before joining the Irvine Co. as vice president of the office division.
