Richard Malkin of Carson not only found this ad for “Miami Undercover” on the back cover of a 1960 Broadcasting magazine, he photocopied it and sent it to us for laughs. According to “The Complete Encyclopedia of TV Programs,” it starred Lee Bowman as “a trouble-shooter hired by the Miami Hotel Owners Assn. to eliminate the sources of trouble that invade Florida,” Thirty-eight episodes--shot on location in Miami long before the cheeks of “Miami Vice’s” Don Johnson could grow stubble--ran in ’61.
