UCLA, Evansville Meet in Soccer Semifinal

The top two college soccer teams in the country will meet Sunday when UCLA faces Evansville in an NCAA tournament semifinal match at Evansville, Ind. Unbeaten Evansville is rated No. 1, UCLA No. 2.

Ninth-ranked Hartwick of Oneonta, N.Y., and 12th-ranked American University of Washington, D.C., will play in the other semifinal today at Washington. This weekend’s winners will advance to the final Dec. 14 at the Seattle Kingdome.

Evansville advanced to the semifinals with a 1-0 victory over Penn State, running its record to 21-0-2. UCLA beat Southern Methodist in the quarterfinals and has an 18-1-4 mark.
