Woman Killed Crossing Freeway Lanes

A woman was struck and killed as she tried to run across the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 in San Juan Capistrano Thursday night, the Highway Patrol reported.
Officers identified her as Aravz Aruz Concepcion, 26, an illegal alien who, they said, had been in a stolen car that broke through the gates of a checkpoint at Camp Pendleton earlier in the evening.
Officers said the car she had been in had stopped on the freeway’s center divider after one of its tires went flat.
