Chapman Takes On Bemidji in Opener

The Chapman College men’s basketball team will play Bemidji State of Minnesota in the first round of the fourth annual Chapman College/Orange Optimist Tournament, which begins tonight at Hutton Sports Center.
The Panthers (2-3) will face Bemidji State (1-2) in the 8 p.m. game, following a 6 p.m. matchup between Southern California College (3-3) and Sacramento State (2-1). The winners will meet for the championship Saturday at 8 p.m.
Bemidji State, an NAIA school, is in the midst of a three-game trip through Southern California. Wednesday night, the Beavers lost at Loyola Marymount, 100-74, despite 22 points from sophomore guard David Lee.
Chapman is coming off a 69-64 overtime loss to Biola Tuesday night.
