Hudson’s Will Goes to Probate
Actor Rock Hudson’s will was admitted to probate today by Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Robert J. Blaylock. The commissioner also ordered executor Wallace Sheft, a New York accounting executive, to post an $8.6-million bond, indicating that that is the estimated value of Hudson’s estate.
The actor, who died Oct. 2 of complications arising from AIDS (acquired immune deficiency syndrome), willed his entire estate to a trust he established in 1974. He had revoked a previous bequest of personal belongings to a West Hollywood friend, Tom Clark. Marc Christian, who claims he was Hudson’s lover, has filed a $10-million claim and a $14-million lawsuit against the estate.
