The Los Angeles City Council has unanimously approved a $22,000 landscaping project for the median strip of Venice Boulevard between Lincoln Boulevard and Oakwood Avenue. Work is expected to begin early next year. The run-down strip, which has been used as a parking area, will be planted with 12 varieties of plants, shrubs and trees. Officials also plan to repave the four-lane street sometime next year.
