Grossmont Loses to OCC in Regionals

The fourth-seeded Orange Coast volleyball team (14-5), beat fifth-seeded Grossmont, 3-1, in the quarterfinal round of the Southern California Regional playoffs Wednesday.

The game scores were 15-12, 10-15, 15-10, 15-12. Pirate middle blocker Barbara Bally recorded 17 kills and outside hitter Ann Javage had 20 kills. OCC setter Kim Rochow had 3 aces and 50 assists. The Pirates play in the semifinals at San Diego High School Saturday at 1 p.m.
