Four Orange County branches of California Canadian Bank are now operating as branches of Barclays Bank of California. Barclays has taken over assets and liabilities of 11 former California Canadian branches statewide. The two banks, both based in San Francisco, had agreed on the sale of the branches after California Canadian elected to redirect its principal business thrust toward corporate banking activities. The former California Canadian Bank branches now being operated as part of Barclays include offices in Irvine, Orange, Newport Beach and Mission Viejo.
