In the deal reported last September, Rupert Murdoch bought the remaining 50% of 20th Century Fox Film Corp. from Marvin Davis for $325 million. Murdoch bought half of the studio’s stock from Davis last March for $162.5 million, plus an $88-million advance. The latest purchase includes a swap between Fox and a Davis-controlled investor group of certain jointly owned assets. The studio was publicly traded before Davis bought it in June, 1981.
