3 Officers Killed in 3 Days

TAIPEI, Taiwan — A 23-year-old policeman was shot to death Friday in the third murder of a police officer in as many days, police said. The killings involved taking the policemen’s weapons and may have been connected to a year-long crackdown on organized crime across the island that has led to the seizure of large numbers of firearms.
